Tell us about yourself.
Senior 3D BIM modeller working on major Railway Projects for over 15 years.
What were your main goals when you decided to dive deeper into Blender?
I was looking to learn new 3D software to enhance my skills and develop my knowledge in new areas.
Can you describe your learning experience during the bootcamp?
Keeping myself proactive. I didn't realise until Mastered, how important it was to connect and put myself out there, which helped people see what I can do. There were also skills that I learned that I never considered learning, and how important they could be to achieve the role that I wanted.
What aspects of the bootcamp did you find most valuable or transformative for your creative career?
I have a more technical brain so I really enjoyed that side of it but I must say that Jane who was our Business mentor helped our group massively with understanding areas outside of our comfort zone like marketing your brand, different ways to use social media and we all managed to bounce our energy off each other which made it a very enjoyable experience.
How has this bootcamp influenced your professional work or projects?
The experience definitely helped with confidence as you no longer felt alone, and we were dealing with many same issues within the industry, but together it made us all stronger.
What advice would you give to someone starting their journey with Blender?
I think you should throw yourself fully into the experience, and the more you put out, the more you will receive and enjoy it. The mentors are great, and they are there more than just people to teach us stuff; they have become friends.
