VFILES and The Door LGBTQ+ Prom

VFILES have joined forces with charitable NYC organisation, The Door to create an LGBTQ+ Prom for underprivileged teens in NYC. We have the opportunity for 6 hair stylists, 6 makeup artists and 6 nail artists from the Mastered network to collaborate on their LGBTQ+ Prom that will be covered widely on the VFILES platform.

Why is taking part in this opportunity beneficial to my career?

VIFILES and The Door have created this event to give back to the underprivileged youth in New York. It is an opportunity to gain experience and work with one of the leading fashion and culture platforms in New York.

You can also use this experience to help shape your response to Brief 2, which is all about change.

 
What are the dates of this opportunity?

• The LGBTQ+ Prom takes place on Wednesday, 20th June 2018
• The deadline to apply for this opportunity is Friday, 15th June
• We will contact you by Saturday 16 June to let you know whether or not you have been selected.

Who would cover my travel and accommodation for me to participate?

• You would need to cover your own travel and accommodation if you are chosen and need to be in New York for this opportunity.
• If you are applying from outside the US, you will need to have the necessary VISA to allow you to travel.

 
What kit do I need to bring with me?

• You will be expected to bring your own full kit (including adapter plugs for any hot tools if you are from outside US) and if you’re a nail artist, you’ll need a full range of polish options and nail art kit.
